FAQ's

Here are some common questions and answers that we get on the daily.

What is Starlink?

Starlink provides high-speed internet access using a large network (constellation) of small satellited in low earth orbit (LEO). Unlike traditional satellite internet (which uses a few satellites far from earth) Starlink's thousands of closer satellites reduce:
- Latency (delay)
- Signal lag
- Weather - related disruption (to some extent)

How does Starlink work?

- Thousands of Starlink satellites orbit Earth at about 550 km.

- A user installs a Starlink dish (terminal) at home or on a vehicle.

- The dish connects to satellites overhead.

- Data is transmitted between satellites and ground stations connected to the global internet.
